My wise sister-in-law once told me a joke she heard by a comedian (not sure who) that having a third baby is like being handed a baby while you are drowning (or something like that). It's totally true. When you have your second baby you think how much harder it is with more than one. Well, when you have the third, all that impossibleness of two seems so easy. It's true that with the day to day stuff I feel like a seasoned veteran, but as far as any quality of life for myself or any time to do anything, I feel like I am just keeping my head above water. I miss a full nights sleep, a shower, time to work out, time to spring clean and organize.... and this blasted never-ending winter isn't helping either.
It's a good thing he's so damn cute.

A Little Cabin Fever-ish
To say that this has been a rough weekend would be an understatement. Drew was the most challenging he has been in a while, and believe me, he is a challenge anyway. We did a lot of Tag-Team Parenting. Anyone unfamiliar with this term (unless I am completely making it up, though I somehow doubt it), it means that the moment one of us starts to "lose it" with Drew, the other one steps in and takes over. This can happen 3 or 4 times per incident. Drew did not take any naps this weekend, even though he was up early... no vegetables... (we did manage to get a bite of carrot down his throat without him puking and gagging), and copius amounts of whining, combined with two potty "accidents" that seemed to be more "on purposes". It was one for the record books.
I think most of the issues came from the fact that we all just feel cooped up in this small house, we just can't escape one another, and darn it if we aren't all on each other's last nerve. I am really lucky that I went out with friends for dinner, and then saw a matinee on Sunday (Twilight, again). I needed the time away for perspective, so I didn't tear my hair out (which I literally almost did a couple of times Saturday afternoon). My friends help me forget all my worries, and believe me, there are a plenty of worries lately.
Sorry this post is so BORING, I just don't have it in me to be witty or funny right now. Too exhausted. Ah well, tomorrow is another day... just glad we made it through.
