Holiday Hangover

Last night I was playing with my Ipod touch excessively and reading my new Marion Keyes book having trouble sleeping. Then Jacob woke up at 5:30 am. I got up with him because I wanted to read more of my book am such a good Mom.

So today, on my first day back at work in a while, I am about to pass out having trouble concentrating. Not only that I somehow injured my back playing Wii fit yoga yesterday and am limping around like a humpback hunchback. Plus hurt my calf muscle running Island loop with Wii fit the day before. Stretching would have been a good idea, you say? Stretching is for wimps! Am master of exercising.<--- Wanted to write physicality there but looked up word using Dictionaire on Ipod and was not really what I meant. Master of words as well. Thank you Dictionaire. So my post today is short again, I am sorry. Maybe a picture of a fluffy bunny will help soften the blow.
Will be back with more tonight or tomorrow.
Update: someone chose the box "like it" at the bottom. I know Fluffy Bunny made their Box checking go from "meh" to "like it". Thanx Fluffy Bunny.

A Bathtub Conversation

Maybe it's the temperature change, but I am tired today. I think I'm going to go play with my Ipod touch. (Still trying to think of a name for it per The Rambler's suggestion. Any ideas on a cool name?) But I will leave you with this:

Mommy: It's time to get out of the bath.

Drew: But I'm hungry for more water.

Mommy: Okay, five more minutes. I love you, you know.

Drew: I know.

Left Handed Compliment?!?

When eating dinner last night my husband looked at me and said, "You made these Calzones? They are really good."

Um... well, thanks I think?

Side note: this will be short, I am holding the baby right now, and fighting to keep him awake so Drew and him can take a nap together. (Oh please let this work SOON).

Question for the masses, what do you do with little children when it's too cold to go outside and you don't want to go shopping and you have played every game/craft you can think of? I NEEDS ACTIVITIES.

More tomorrow, I promise.

Nablopomo burnout and Elf Martyrs....

I am getting a little bit of Nablopomo burnout. I know it's early in the month, and how sad is that? But for the past 3 days I have been sitting alone in my office for ten hours, hurrying home and putting the kids to sleep, and then going to sleep myself (or cleaning) neither of which make for exciting material.

So a little anecdote. For Christmas last year we got the Elf on the Shelf. For those that don't know about this, well, click on the link to get an explanation. We started the tradition by pulling out the book the day after Christmas, and put the Elf (we named him "Boodle") out and hinted to Drew on how to find him. Every night you have to move him. So every morning, I ask Drew "Where did Boodle go?" and we have to find him. Drew never remembers.

Until yesterday, when Drew remembered for the first time on his own and asked "Hey, why didn't Boodle move last night?" Yeah, we forgot. The first time he remembered.

"Boodle!" I exclaimed. "Did you fall alseep last night and forget to see Santa? Geez Boodle, you have to remember to see Santa every day and tell him Drew is a good boy!"

"Yeah!" Drew exclaimed.

For a recap, yes, I blamed a stuffed Elf named "Boodle" for my mistake. We are reaching a new low here people... and it is not pretty.
