Friday Favorites #10

It's Friday Favorites time! Oh yes it's time to pay homage to all the things that got us through the week, and give credit where credit is due! Here are my Friday Favorites this week....

#10! Hard to believe 10 weeks Have passed since I started Friday Favorites! In honor of #10 I am going to give you 10 favorites this week- 5 from this week, and 5 favorites overall (these are like my favorites hall of fame). Here we go!

My Five Faves this week:

1. Becoming Jane (Movie) Sometimes, especially when I am surfing the crimson wave, I've just got to watch a movies that makes me cry. This is one of them. Heartbreaking, but not in a cheesy, Nicholas Sparks sort of way- sorry Nicholas Sparks fans! If you haven't seen it yet- please do!

2. Pizza and Movie night. One weeknight a week we pull out the kids table and paper plates and watch a movie and eat. Very little cleanup and the kids love their special treat.

Intently watching the movie, they are. Turning into Yoda, I am.

3. Hanging out with my friends on Tuesday. It was much more fun than my tired body can handle!

4. All my blogerinos, my blogging friends who still stick by even when I am in a blogging funk. Thanks guys, I promise I will have better posts soon. Plus you guys totally complimented me on my picture with the kids last Friday which was so totally awesome and totally unexpected.

5. My Niece Marisa. She's turning two today and she gets a special shout out! Love you 'Risa! Your Aunt Janna is the your favorite Auntie, too! (Please wish her a Happy Birthday in the comments section- her Mommy reads the blog and I bet she would think that is cute!)

When Marisa was just an infant and I was pregnant she would let me hold her for hours... and I did! Here is one of the pictures, with Max, my sister's other big baby!

My Five Faves overall:

1. My Boys. I bitch, moan and complain sometimes, but where would I be without them? I love the men in my life. I'm beginning to love sports and dinosaurs and trucks- what are they doing to me? EEK!

2. My Mom and Sissie. I miss our Friday lunch dates (at one time we went out to lunch every Friday). And of course my Dad, the grill master extraordinaire.

3. My Friends. Cinquo de Mayo again this year? Puh-leez? I'm not pregnant this year, how about it?

Cinquo de Mayo 2007. Pregnant here. Yep, that's MY 7up. Woot. Ain't no party like a preggo party!

4. Great Wolf Lodge. We had so much fun last year, we are doing it again at the end of May. Even though Jacob hates water. Altogether now- huh? Well we are hoping he changes his mind by then (crosses fingers).

5. Lollapalooza. I hate to be looking forward to the end of summer, but I can't wait to go!

Not me! Monday: Snappy one liners/Superbowl Edition

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I so did not fret over Drew's 4th birthday party. I am not a worry wart so I did not worry all week only to have it turn out wonderful.

I also did not lose track of Jacob at the party and find him trying to escape out the front door. This was not the second time someone lost him and found him trying to escape. He is so not my Calamity Jake!

I also did not pass out fall asleep while watching Curious George with Drew a couple of hours later, because I was not exhausted from worrying about the Party.

I did not write the majority of this post on my iPod during the superbowl. I never would miss a moment of football.

This is so not how I feel about my job.



I was not a smartass to my sister Amber and Mr. Bee on Sunday coming up with some great one liners to their statements:

Mr. Bee: I have to start getting prepared for the Superbowl (at 11am this morning).
Me: What, are you playing in it?

Amber: I make these great chicken nachos. It's got rotisserie chicken and pepperjack cheese on them. It's my secret recipe.
Me: Secret recipe? Um... not so secret now!

I did not think about how I could blog these one liners, and so did not get really excited when I realized I could!

I was a very responsible Mom and did not let my kids eat junk and snacks all weekend. I would never compromise their health for my sanity.

Jacob is not down to his last diaper, and therefore I am not praying that he does not have a BM before school today. I would never play THAT game of russian roulette.

I did not almost address my Husband as Mr. Bee on Sunday. I would never let my blog take over my real life. :^P

I so did not just use an emoticon in my blog!

So I tried something new... Also Blog makeover Contest!

Something different, and I don't know if it was a success or a failure or something in between. Anyway, I hope those that read today's post at least find it somewhat amusing. I will have to out my sister, Amber in the comments who noted that "there is something very very wrong with [me]". I think she thinks that anyway, but I don't know if my last post helped my case.

Ah well... I added a little spot for if you don't want to comment... so if you want to go ahead and click a button, I will have an idea if you liked something (or not) without you having to reveal yourself. It's right down by the comment spot.

Also, if you read this and like this, please follow me. I need the self esteem boost, what can I say?

If you have been reading for a while, you have probably noticed that my blog has changed it's look several times. This is because my template is somehow corrupt and I have been trying to fix it, and no one seems to know what is wrong (and you can't email someone, you have to subscribe to a help forum. Really starting to HATE blogger). So on that note, I am plugging a blog makeover contest that Angela is having over at Bringing Creativity. Because I really would like to have a customized header at least, and her blog is very pretty. I would tell you to enter it, but darn it, I want to win.
